As someone who struggled with my weight and body image my whole life, I’ve tried anything and everything to lose the weight. (if there was a fad diet out there, I bet you I’ve tried it!) I got to a point when I was the unhealthiest I’ve ever been, mentally and physically, where it felt like I had no control in my life.
I had to have an honest conversation with myself and decided to take control of my life, even if that meant doing one new thing that challenged me that day. Slowly, I started adding healthier habits to my routine and learned more about what I loved and what didn’t. As I learned and challenged myself more along the way, I realized that not only was I progressing in my fitness journey, but actually enjoying all the milestones along the way! I used to think that to get the body of my dreams, I had to do the things I hated to get there and it was a punishment rather than a form of self care. I realized I get to have a different relationship with fitness and health.
